Custom content available right away

A post in the xaseco 1.13 topic on tm-forum made me think.
Would it be possible for future dedis to show custom content right away when the download is complete, without having to restart first?
Especially on servers with long tracks, like rpg servers and 60-90k servers, custom content like mods, music and skins, are downloaded and waiting for a long time before restart or escape is pressed.

Could maybe be possible, but i can see a little down side in this.
If there is a mod, which will be suddenly activated, you will have a few seconds where you need to adjust your eyes and your driving to the new mod and this could be fatal if used in a competition race on a ladder server. Maybe it won't change much between racing on a RPG server (there the mod could simply activate itself after pressing respawn), but on race servers it's a no go.
And i still favour the idea to be able to select which kind of custom content you are downloading. So that you only load cars, but not the corresponding horn and that you can simple select "no", if it comes to mods.

Well, if you drive competitions, you surely have trained, so mods will show from the beginning.
Still, you've got a good point, it can disturb if it is a radical mod, or even a strange car skin just in front of you.
I had not thought of that.

I didn't really understand this idea the first time I read through the topic, but now I do get it, and I'm for sure in favor of this idea.
