E3 isn't open to the general public anyway, so it's not like J. Random Gamer can easily attend (though it's probably not impossible, considering how many "kids" I saw there). For European gamers, Gamescon Köln (previously Leipzig) is more practical in that regard too, as well as traveling.

If you live in the US, particularly on the West Coast, PAX Prime is your best bet, though not as large as E3. Also, we don't even know if TM2 will be shown at PAX (which is in late August). E3, as mentioned, is for industry professionals only (and various contest winners). It's also like $500. PAX is for everyone and a 3-day pass is only $60. Unfortunately, PAX has sold out of their 3-day badges, which leaves 1-day badges. It would cost more than a three day pass, but you could theoretically get a 1 day pass for each of the three days.
