[REQ] ladders

Sure, the bounces are nice, but for mods and scripts really to kick off towards strategic teambased gaming a bright red or blue airbound bullet kinda gives away your position ^^
so my request is to add wallblocks with ladders (which will probably be hard to accomplish due to auto generating bottom, but maybe in a future update?)
edit: no clue which moderator edited the title, but "[REQ]Blocks for serious"?? could at least make the title make sense.

I think ladder blocks would be very usefull. Sometimes boosters just don't work out, and ladders could add map variety, more path choices, more risk vs reward (climbing up a ladder makes you vulnerable, but getting the high-ground can give you an advantage).
+1

I would like movers. Blocks that get a starrting position and a stop position. And their movement is triggered when a player touches them. And as mapper you can add the time the block needs for movement.
This way you can add eleveators which are quite close to ladders.

yeah elevators would be nice as well, but those will be even more challenging to code.
And if i look at all other current blocks, an elevator would probably end up being a solid block with a fixed height of 4 or 6

Totally agreed with ladders, only if it's "smoothy" large enought ( 2/3 of a block ), and not contraignant ( like realist fps etc )

I don't think ladders are a great idea.
Freedom of movement is stressed and also a big selling point of the game (as advertised in the parkour on the trailer). Most locations can be accessed due to mastery of movement. Locations that cannot be accessed by mastery of movement are either not intended to be used or poorly structured.
Ladders would decrease the importance of movement mastery as a skill. One can argue that this is good -- lowing the value of movement will saturate the skill gap, increasing the importance of aiming and map positioning. I'd argue the opposite.

unless you want to create a new ruleset or title that isn't based on jumpstyle but other tactics.
I don't care much about "capture the whatever" while bouncing and shooting pew pew pebbles at eachother.
