First off, ive never had this problem before, but my PC has turned itself off 3 times today while playing TM2, usually after about 10-20 minutes. The first time was in the menus and the other two were in the middle of races.

I am wondering whether its simply overheating and needs to be cleaned (I have no problem when doing something that isnt intense on the CPU) But so far the only time its shut off is when im playing TM2.

Any ideas?

That's weird. My PC shut down too after the last Update. I was working in the editor (only a small map) when suddenly all went black and the PC was off from one moment to the other - like I would unplug my PC.

It occured only once till now, but I never had such a behaviour of my PC before.

Any ideas on this? I can play other games fine, but on TM2 it lasts about 10-15 minutes before my computer just cuts out

I had the same problem. It was my graphic card cooler, which was not working. You could check this.

Please post your logs and specify your system specs.

Looking at that, I think Chrizz may be right and my graphics card is overheating?

Since the sudden power off I had only some short sessions with TM2 and no second shut down. As soon as I have more time to test and experience another shut down I will post the log and my specs. I'll continue observing ... (please, not the graphic card...)

Please post your maniaplanet log files from the time, the PC shut down. You can find them in your personal data directory.

Edit: I was watching the temperature of my graphics card, heres what I found:

70C On the desktop
90C Sitting at the maniaplanet menu (?!)
110C While playing

I have the exact same issue since the latest updates.
I can play a few minutes and then the pc crashes (or hangs). (both Desert and Platform)

I had the same issue recently with MW3. After clearing the cache on steam this issue was fixed, but unfortunately this didn't help with trackmania.

I hope this is fixed really soon.
