My son and I where looking at this for play on our LAN. Does LAN play work in the beta? If so what is involved in setting the game up for LAN, do you need a server? How complex is it to setup a LAN enviroment for the game?

LAN is disabled right now. If it is enabled, no one is able to connect to your games. Neither you're able to connect anywhere. There are net code problems in that part.

Thanks for the reply, Glad I didnt buy it only to find out that it wouldnt work for LAN. Im not planning on NET play. Just 4 PCs on my LAN. I'll wait ubntil its out of BETA

LAN may become available later in the beta. Therefore, check out what's happening from time to time, so you do not miss 20% discount

it's PRETTY easy. you just choose the maps basically, nothing more ^^

Is there any expectation regarding LAN play's return?
