Testing map/hosting match on my own pc

I have made a map that I'd love to test out with other players, I thought I could do this by going through the create match screens, and indeed I was able to load in to it, however my friends are unable to get into it.

Is this something to do with port forwarding?

I thought I opened ports 2350, 2450, 5000

This is the error message they get:

Could not connect to server 127.0.0.1 port 2353 disconnected from server 10061

I don't know where that IP addy comes from because it's not mine for sure, and my router is 168.etc...

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

I had the same problem in TM 2 for a week. Eventually I got it to work after I figured out my router was the problem and I had everything configured correct. I had to get a new router but I digress.

It looks like your server is on ports 2353 and 3453 so open them ports as well udp and tcp (in your router firewall and whatever pc firewall you have. Start maniaplanet, click cofigure and put 2353 in server port, 3453 in p2p and 2350 in client. Tick the use local address box, leave the force server ip all zeros and that should do it. Save those settings and start maniaplanet.

If you don't know how to open ports for your router there is probably a tutorial on port forwarding . com and if you don't know how to write inbound rules into firewalls just google it as it is very different in for each windows version.

thanks for the help man, we're still getting that error message but the port numbers keep changing, should I forward a range of ports? like 2350 to 2360?

I'm not very good at messing with routers but I'll try to figure this out with portforward.com and google
