I purchased TrackMania 2 Canyon from the UBI Shop in the USA and paid $19.99 plus $6.99 for Backup Disc plus tax. How long does it take to receive the Backup Disc from the UBI Shop?

ask ubisoft maybe? on these forums there are only players and Nadeo.

by this he might want to ask other users which have done the same perhaps?

The UBI Shop download link expires after 30 days and 5 attempts and it doesn't provide the full client, only the UBI Shop download manager based on GetRightToGo. After the original download from the UBI Shop I had to download almost 200mb of updates and then restart the client. Is the client on UBI Shop older than the one on the maniaplanet player account? Why doesn't maniaplanet website provide an option to register the activation key and create the account and then download the latest client from the account?

Basically it is a good idea, and they did it only once in between, as far as I remember, but for Shootmania only.
The link to the new setup file was posted in the alpha or beta test forum.

Since there are frequent updates these weeks, the effort to repackage a full setup all the time is to high.
After the release and more stable versions they certainly will do it.

I just received the Backup Disc from UBISoft. It only contains the TrackMania 2 license key and UBISoft download manager on a standard CD and I still have to download the full setup package after inserting the CD that was purchased from UBISoft. The CD that was purchased from UBISoft does not contain the full client, only the download manager.

That kinda sucks.
What really stinks is that you could have made your own disk with everything for about a quarter dollar.

This is strange, it isn't really a backup if it contains only the key.
Your issue was / is the large download.
It wasn't indicated this clearly, right?
