thanks for sharing
unfornately I don't live near the Dreamexpo, so I won't come. But it's a great thing to make a tournament, because it makes a lot of fun

what happened with not pushing TM2 to be an esports game ala LoL? this is really not a good idea. why are Nadeo/Florent/Ubisoft ignoring the legacy of esports that has been built up with TMNF/Stadium for so many years with all the teams and sponsors and events?
would be a much better idea to hold a TMNF tournament to bring all the pros to the event, and then just have a TM2 stand on the side for people to try out. TMNF is still young and has started to establish itself in the esports world as TEH racing game. why throw all that away on a completely new game by pushing it forcefully to become an esports game? it's madness, and no one is going to win anything on that.
Freezone makes alot more sense now. such a shame.

Kalle "Frostbeule" Moertlund Videkull,
This event is made to promote a game. The most elegant way to do it at the Dreamhack is to make a competition. Maybe you can see this simply as a way to have fun.
It is obvious that there will be competitions on the upcoming ManiaPlanet. You are avoiding to accept that and this is counter productive. Start to think how to make everything work well altogether instead of threatening of shitstorm or that we are doing madness. The more you are going to say this, the less we may support you, take this for granted. It is also obvious.
But since I saw you write this
"the esports community mainly consists of very young people with very low morals. "
I can't see why you still participate and how you can have good time with other players
Relax, enjoy and be more constructive,
Florent

How on earth is that the most elegant way? by pissing on the already established esports-community? i don't get it man. i just don't get it. you are forcing it to become an esports game by pumping in money when you already have an esports game that is well established and young. don't you see that this will just split up your precious Trackmania community even further? you seem to be very good at it.

I don't have anything against TM2 having competitions. but if you are forcing it to be at places such as Dreamhack, there will be nothing good coming out of it. Sure, gold-diggers will attend these forceful TM2 tourneys coz of the money, but alot of people will also stay with the esports game that is TMNF/Stadium. i understand that you want Trackmania to be a community united as 1, but you need to be more realistic i think and realize that it is divided. i asked a poll at my facebook fanpage (
http://www.facebook.com/fbcentral), and currently, 39 people says they will stay with TMNF/Stadium, and 11 will move over to TM2. Don't you see what you are doing? like i said, you shouldve hosted a TMNF tournament instead, and then have TM2 as a side-thing that people can try out. don't mix things together. THAT would have been the most elegant way.

i still participate because i love esports, and there are very cool people out there who do alot of cool people for esports. unfortunately, you are not among those people it seems.

if there's anything i am, it's being contructive

im also a very chillaxed person in general. but when it comes to esports, i have strong opinions. that wont change.

So if you know, most people will stay with TMNF, why do you worry then?
I think, TM2 will never be on level with TMNF, just because it is not free. And let people try out TM2, such as they did with TMUF and let them decide. I mean, is it that important, if 1.000.000 players play TMNF, or 999.000? I don't understand why you have any existancial fear about TMNF

of course i think MOST people in the esports community will stay with TMNF. the problem is that if they pump in all this money, it will screw everything up. some people will see that the grass is greener and just move over for that reason. ive said this before, but for a game to be a successful esports game, the most important thing is
unity. i agree that people should be able to try out TM2, but why are they holding a competition in it with prize money as an esports game? it doesn't make any sense to me. if TM2 is gonna be an esports game, then let it be that naturally. (tho i don't think it will become that for the reason you said, and for other reasons aswell).
