its actually kind of an "infinite circle".

Problem recap:

1. I start maniaplanet
2. i press "play"
3. i want for MP to load up
4. i click on my nickname to login
5. MP connects to its servers
6. MP tells me "there is an optional update of 25.73 MB"
7. i click "update now"
8. patch downloads
9. after the download is finished MP tells me "Maniaplanet needs to restart to apply the patch"
10. i press "OK!"
11. MP closes
12. MP restarts and i start at section 2. again!

Explanation:

MP = Maniaplanet
Game has been started with adminrights yes!
and if i say at point 7. "update later" the text changes to "the update is mandetory" or something like this so i cant skip it!

any one got help?

The .exe fail to be copied at relaunch. So, you need to copy it manually in the application folder until we find why there is an issue.

Try to launch the game and launcher in Administrator.

It's funny because in the first screen (i have the same problem) it says "Optional update" and when you press "update later" it says "Compulsory update"

The same for a lot of friends and many other people as we can see in the forum.

i am starting it as administrator. It doesnt help=(

What is your version of windows ?

When you say "Game has been started with admin rights" do you mean : you have tried to launch ManiaPlanetLauncher.exe with admin account (right-click +run as admin) ?

In your PackCache folder (Default for Vista/7 is C:\ProgramData\ManiaPlanet\PacksCache ) do you have a ManiaPlanet.exe.ref ?

I'm uploading a quick fix right now.

the log is on Windows 7 and it worked for other people under Windows 7

I atleast dont have maniaplanet.exe.ref in that folder.. And I am using W7-64bit
