This would be really great, how can I get this started?

download the mod here, put it into your mods folder, start the game, launch the editor, select the mod, possibly pay a few planets if required, and start a new map with it.

Well, how about my own? I need the default mod.

There is no "default mod".
There are only the original or default textures, and they are located in the files for each game in the gamedata folder.
