Custom Objects - File sizes etc

I will state up front I know nothing about 3d modeling or how to use nadeos new custom object feature !

In theory this is a very cool feature nadeo has given us. But as a player and a server admin it worries me about the impact this will have for playing maps online that include custom objects that you have not already downloaded.
I know its very early days, there are only 2 objects currently on maniapark, one is 1mb the other 2mb. Already we are downloading 500kb maps and occasionally some players have problems with the occasional bigger map. I worry custom objects will cause some players to disconnect, or miss the start of a round.
Can someone who knows clarify how this will work, what impact it might have, pre-load p2p etc

Is it possible for object authors to use the textures already available in each enviroment ? To reduce object filesizes ?
If so, I encourage object authors to do so as much as possible.
If not, nadeo please make it so they can !

Custom objects have to be included in custom title packs to be usable outside of the editor in the first place. And well, you can't download half of a title pack...

In other words, you will never see custom objects in vanilla Canyon, only in custom Titles (e.g. Stunters, or my own Shortcut, or - for a SM example - EliteExp). And in those cases, since they're included with the pack itself, there's no extra data to download in between maps.

(And yes, it's possible to use the textures provided by each environment in custom objects already.)

Objects only included in packs, i see that solves the problem.

i'm not computer geek/wiz at this so i need help.. What folder exactly should I install the objects from maniapark? I somehow managed to get the lego skin working last night, very nice pack but if anyone could answer my question i would appreciate it. Thanks

Oh my god...
My documents/ManiaPlanet/Blocks/[Common/Canyon/Storm]/

If objects can working only in pack - NADEO can remove objects feature at all. Or give locator features like 3d cars but before map loading. I dont know, object work if place in ZIP?

I'm not positive just yet cause i think I may be doing something wrong, but no its not working even in the blocks/storm folder (while still compressed)

UPDATE: Throw compressed file into the folder you specified in your first post then extract it into that same folder, works flawless.. Thank you much!

I am tryed - not work. If ZIP place in Blocks\Common for example in Storm not work (for experement I place here folder with Dolmen - Dolmen work, my object in ZIP - no).

I think that object needs ZIP file and locator like skins. It for we can download object when playing whereven.
