Checkpoint "signals"

Hi,
i had a small idea some time ago playing TM.
You know, when you are running in TA and you pass through a Checkpoint, it show you a text with your advantage/disadvantage in blue/red color.
Don't you think could be nice if it show you also the difference in speed? How much km/h you have, more or less then the best time?
So you can see if you are winning or losing...
(it could be an option that can be disable)
This is just a small idea, nothing really important... just saying

Quite a good idea, could also be useful to find cutters (e.g. to see if someone was way slower at a certain CP but still has the best time).
This would mean we have to store the times/speeds at certain CPs in TM2 though. In TM1 they're just saved as "1st CP, 2nd CP, 3rd CP"... independent from the order you pass them.

What would be -really- awesome is if somehow, these kinds of stats were displayed on the checkpoints themselves, like on a bigscreen or something, along with being displayed on your HUD. I remember in Coast, there are some blocks that have basically a timing screen alongside the track--but it's nonfunctional.

If these things actually -worked-, I would have a nerdgasm!

I think this sounds like a good idea for those who like it, but I already dislike the red/blue text that already exist. It's distracting me when I'm driving a track, so I suggest that these things could be toggled on/off or something. Otherwise I think this could be a nice things for hunters ^_^

That could go along with the * key toggling pieces of your HUD on/off, rather than just turning it all on and off in one fell swoop...

Oh! Nice idea to disable/modify individual parts of the HUD
But I would love working signs like the one in Coast. Would also be awesome for video making

This sounds like a great idea, if you could get the speed additional to the time. As Insomnia wrote, this would be a great opportunity to find cutters

I think the greatest opportunity to find cutters is looking at their replay, honestly.
