Good idea, I think this will appeal to the hardcore Stadium fans as well
New graphic engine looks nice, although the cars were a bit too shiny in the trailer for my taste.
I really hope most of the annoying landing bugs, especially on dirt, will be fixed

potentially good. i think it makes sense since maniaplanet hasn't been doing so well, and implementing stadium should help with that and also make people discover the other games of maniaplanet.

i definitely hope they keep the gameplay intact, and just add more features around it. a simple thing like milliseconds in the time, like there is in Canyon definitely should be added as an example.

however, i mainly care about esports since that's what stadium represent. i really think nations was somewhat of a fluke for nadeo, and so i think it's crucial that they take the feedback from the pro players very seriously in the beta. if that can be done, then this game will be even bigger than what nations was. it remains to be seen however how it will go.

This will only become a succes when Stadium cars have the sam handling as in TM1

For the release i can only say

If the gameplay really is identical, this will be huge.

let's be fair here, this update should have come a long time ago. they were killing the game, and it still might be too late.
hylis used to say they wouldn't update stadium anymore, that it was 'forever' and also he said that he didn't even like the game. what changed his mind? i suppose only he can give the answer. either he suddenly really care about the game, or they just bring it back to try and get people to play their other games. i hope it's the former, but we'll see.

Strange in a way. The ads in stadiumn 2.0 are based on United.

It seems to me they made stadium for tm² just to make it ESWC so they have a stronger base for there games.

I just hope they put some Pro players into alpha so they get good feedback like they did in SM. Otherwise i will see it not become a good Esport game.

FrostBeule, this was also my thought when I saw TrackMania² Stadium.
Perhaps the really want to close TMUF/TMNF and push the people towards ManiaPlanet, so they don't need to handle two different worlds anmyore. But if they do this, it is really the end of TMUF.
The free-to-play fracion will not care though.
