Hello everybody,

On ManiaExchange, when I click on "Install & Play" on a track page, the game opens and tells me there is an optional update available (ManiaPlanet 2 Beta 1.3e). I've got two options: Update now, or Update later.

When I choose Update now:
My game downloads and installs the update. After it's finished, it tells me the game needs to restart in order to complete the updating process. The game restarts, but the track I've chosen to "Install & Play" did not open. When I choose to "Install & Play" the same (or any other) track now, it tells me about the same update!
When I choose Update later:
My game closes anyway. Even though it says the update is optional!

The only way left to play the tracks is to run the game first, then download the track and double-click on the GBX file. When I run the game, it does not ask for the update. It only asks when I choose to "Install & Play" a track.

Try to deactivate your antivirus.

Ahahahah! He mean, that if he click on link to MP , MP launching, but it asking update already updated game or not. So it's realy bad.

It's not bad, ManiaPlanet was only launched from the wrong place for the update.
Please launch ManiaPlanet at least once with the regular icon, do the update, and then it should work using TMTP links.

Anyways this is a annoying and already known and reported bug. Unfortunately there is no solution to this yet.

I mean the maniaplanet:// linkage of course, but it is the same technology

Even if the game is already up to date, it will keep trying to update if you launch the game via a "maniaplanet://" link or via "Install & Play" on MX.

I still use Install & Play, but I've had to get into the habit of always launching ManiaPlanet first using the regular launcher. And then once I'm in-game, I can use "Install & Play".

Yeah, it's a bug.
