Car compatibility?

I was wondering if information has been released on whether TM1 cars will be compatible with TM2 (without the damage of course)?
I don't search it now, but you can import your tm1 car into tm2, but there will be no visual damage ( you can add it with a new file)
I think the doctor said it..
