-Achievements keep you playing, you wont admit it, but it's true.-

First of all : It's not really that important, but you have to admit that it would be cool
Wouldnt it be cool to have achievements for Shootmania ( especially ELITE ) ( like in COD )

Achievements are divided into categories and ordered from incomplete to complete alphabetically.

A couple of examples :
RANDOM :
Make a 50m+ Shot - ACCURACY MASTER
Make a 100m+Shot - PRECISION PRINCE
Make a 150m+Shot - PIXEL KING
Play 10matches
Play 100matches
...
Play 1h
Play 10h
Play 1000h - NO LIFER

Make a kill right after u spiderman - THE PETER PARKER
Make a jump of 20m
Make a jump of 50m - THE SUPERMAN
Beat a team with only higher ranked players - UNWORTHY OF THAT RANK

Triple Tap the #1

Win a match with 9-0 - PERFECT VICTORY
Draw a match - TEAM BALANCE
Win a match by reaching the point limit
Take a match to 15-...
Get killed in the water - I CANT SWIM
Die 10times by jumping in the electric water

ATTACKER:
Win an attack round 50x

Win an attack round within 15s - TIME IS MONEY
Win an attack round killing 3 enemies with only 1 health - SURVIVOR
Cap the pole at the last second. - THAT TIMING
Shoot 10rockets in 1 round - TRIGGERFINGER
Shoot all 4rockets of a defender then kill him with your 5th rail - 5TH TIME IS THE CHARM
Shoot 1 rocket of a defender then kill him -
Win an attack round while being on a railplatform ( normally used by the defenders ) - RAILPLATFORM THIEF
Shoot 5x Nucleus in 1 round - NUCLEUS KILLER
Get a kill within 5sec - IN A HURRY
Win all your attacks in a match - 100% ATTACK
Win the deciding attack
Win 2 attacks in a row - DOUBLE ATTACK
Win 3 attacks in a row - TRIPLE ATTACK
Win the only & winning attack of the match - THAT ONE ATTACK
Win 5attacks in a match - ATTACK LIKE A BOSS
Get 3 50m+ Kills in an attack - KEEPING UR DISTANCE
Get 3 20m+ Kills in an attack -

DEFENDER :
Do a triple tap ( +3 on the screen ) - TRIPLE TAPPER
Do a triple tap with bouncing rockets - TRIPLE CHARGE TAP
Win a defense with only ur rockets ( you hit the enemy 3 times , doesnt matter how many rockets ) - RIDIN SOLO
Win a defense when you are the last defender and the attacker has max health - LAST MAN STANDING
Win a defense in 15sec - TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE
Hit an attacker 3x while he is capping - DONT HOPE ATTACKER
Kill the attacker in the last second - LAST SECOND DEFENSE
Kill the attacker with 3 nucleus - NUCLEUS KILLER
Kill the attacker with 3 consecutive nucleus - NUCLEUS TRIPLE TAP
Kill the attacker with 3 rails - RAIL KILLER
Kill the attacker with 3 consecutive rails - RAIL TRIPLE TAP
Bump an enemy into the water - YOU GOT BUMPED
Get 5Rockets in 1match
Get 10Rockets in 1match
Get 15Rockets in 1match
Get 20Rockets in 1match
...
Make 2 Triple taps in 1match
Get 10hits by using Charge Rockets
Get 25hits by using Charge Rockets
...


OTHERS :
Use a custom horn - HONK HONK
Use a custom skin - CHECK MY SKIN
Donate some planets - DONATOR
Create a map
Export a movie
Save a replay



& Every achievement can be like : 5x - 10x - 25x -50x - 100x -1000x
You get the point?
If you achieve the achievement you should get a text on the screen - maybe in the chat. Nothing more. It shouldn't be distracting.


WHY?
Well I know that the gameplay is the most important and its an ESPORT game etc... But people have to keep playing it... Achievements keep you playing ( you maybe wont admit it, but its true )!!


EXTRA AWARDS :
When you complete some achievements you could get extra shields ( on ur back ) and/or Horns.

Quite nice list of ideas for achievements
But as nearly everyone of them can be "cheated" it's no real success to achieve them :/

I know what you mean, but this is true for ALL games with achievements...
I can ask my teammate to stand still at a 100M distance so i can kill him and get the achievement... But ofc thats not how it should be played
I think it would be a great addition to the game!! Maybe something for after the release because , ofc , this isnt a priority.

I think it's a good idea, casuals love achievements.

Really seems interesting and fun, big fan of achievements

I don't like to admit it but it's true - many achivements have kept me playing well past my bed time!!!

There is an Achievements script for SM gamemodes.
its in \Application Data\ManiaPlanet\PacksCache\Scripts\Libs\Nadeo\ShootMania\Achievements.Script.txt

GoldenDunk Script uses it aswell as i believe: Speedball but i might be wrong

So true! I played Alien Swarm far longer than I normally would have because I really wanted to get all those achievements. Same for Bejeweled on my phone.

Definitely a big +1 on this one.
