My game crashes if I click ANY link.

The twitch logo... crash...
I want to read some comments?.. crash...
A link from the chat?... crash...
Ingame chat?... crash...
etc etc etc :/

This really is a big issue. Everything else works perfect.

Did you update your game?
Could you please post a log (that you can find in mydocuments\maniaplanet) and specify your system specs?

yes, full up to date.

Specs :

I7 2600k 4,7ghz
MSI motherboard.
8GB RAM CORSAIR VENGEANCE
NVIDIA GTX 570 Twin frozer 3
Corsair 850watt
Windows 8 64bit

I added the game to steam to have the steamoverlay so I can still chat with them without minimizing the game.

I only have log from a couple a days ago... This is weird Because I just crashed!

PS : Im in a clan & we all have this problem. It's a BIG problem :s

Since the B3RC4 update, no ManiaPlanetLog.txt is created anymore Was this also removed?

Ok, then it's not this.
But try to shut down any other application you're running in parallel.
Did you do all necessary updates (both ManiaPlanet and ShootMania)?

i have had this for months.
Yes i have all the updates

A lot of my friends have this issue too btw.

Very strange. Could you take a screenshot of the thing you're about to click and which leads to a crash?

What do you and your friends have in common?
Any chat application? Xfire or Skype or ICQ or whatever additional?
Some download stuff in the background?
Bad firewall/viruscan settings?
Any browser extension?
You all have the same Windows version?

I think it is related to something you have installed more or less in common,
which replaced a DLL, e.g. some internet explorer DLL or so.

But to find out what.

Well,

We all have it in our steam library.
But sometimes I start the game without running steam and then it only crashes 10% of the time when I click links.
When I run the game through steam it crashes 90% of the time when I click links.

So its Steam related, just tested with some buddies.

This is strange right? What should I do?
