hello guys
Today starts the open beta of trackmania 2 stadium and the release of tm2 canyon and shootmania storm on steam.
But thats not what i want to talk.

The fact is when the first nations was released (TM ESWC 2006) the game was free and when the "upgrade" of nations eswc was released in 2008 called nations forever it maintained free so here is my question

why is tm2 stadium 9€ when is suposed to be free?
I am a trackmania fan since 2007 and always liked the inovations maked on the trackmania series
but seeing this just maked me sad and upset
nevertheless
i will buy the game
but for the love i have by this incredible game

why it is SUPPOSED to be free? free things are good of course, but not for 7 years... also, there will be a limited free version of stadium, somewhat similar to TMNF in functionality.

If you want to play Stadium for free, you can still do it, with TMN.

There was also the idea that a basic version of MP² Stadium would be free,
and with the purchase for ~10€ you would unlock more features.
At the moment this is valid only for the actual open beta phase.

Not that hilarious in fact. If you want to have something, you can always try to ask for it for free.
But in most cases it won't work if you're not ready to give something yourself.
Then you start bargaining, but this is very questionable for a game, and which costs not really this much actually

They can but they don't want to because it's supposed to be free

The information about that something that was always free is now buyable for "only" 9€ made my day. Seriously, I can't remember when I laughed that hard last time. Good time! Maybe I'll buy stadium when it's 75% off on Steam so I'll pay you for such a brilliant joke you made by trying to sell stadium. Not for stadium itself, which is free, but for a good laugh. You made my day and I want to thank you. I am dead serious.

Attention, ManiaPlanet TrackMania² Stadium is a complete rework of TrackMania Stadium.
So it is ok that it is not free anymore.
What is still free, is TrackMania Nations. And the decision to buy or not to buy the newer games

I really don´t understand people..

If you like a game, buy it to support the developers!
Nadeo does a really good job with their games.
Nadeo WORKS on this games and please tell me not you would work without getting paid.

btw. I bought Trackmania Nations ESCW for i think 10€ years ago.. so it wasn´t free.
Maybe you are to young to understand this, but coding is hard work, with a lot of hours/weeks/months/years you have to spend on developing..

So grab this 9€ or stop playing please
