[B3.1] (question) Custom Object Y-axis

I read somewhere that you can snap custom objects to the horizontal grid, but that you cannot place the blocks on different heights in the editor. I've searched around, but I cannot find any more info about this. I haven't got the time and experience to test this out myself, but I'm very curious if this in-editor height adjustments are already possible with custom blocks, and if not, if and when this will be made possible.

I think you can only place them on blocks (not in air), so you can probably do some blockmixing to make them fly.
I haven't tried custom blocks either, but alas, from what I've heard this feature is lacking certain... how do I put this... qualities. Because they are to some extent not so useful as one would wish for.

hmmm... that would be too bad. though i don't understand, if there is already a decently working gridsnapping for the other two axes, why not for the third axis?

Yes Nadeo is missing a very good opportunity here to increase the game's creative potential:
- why can't objects be raised vertically?
- why can't custom textures of objects be modded?
- why can't we add light to objects (okay...this one might be harder to implement)
....

hopefully they'll consider this and try to implement these. just imagine what a world of possibilities would open up if these features would work like they logically 'should'.
