TM2 Stadium Full Version 'Not Responding'

Hi I've played TMUF for years. Last week I picked up the full version of TM2 Stadium. Our game frequently freezes and Task Manager reports Mania Planet as Not Responding. I end the process and launch mania planet again and play until it freezes again & repeat until I've had enough of relaunching Mania Planet. I've sent an email to support, but no response yet. I'm running Windows 7 with an Intel E7500 with a Zotac gtx 570. I've little to no problems with nearly all my games.

Running as Administrator yields the same result as does the compatibility option of Win Xp sp3 emulation.

Also, sometimes Mania Planet with TM2 Stadium loads with no sound and a relaunch is needed to bring the sound back.

Thank you for your assistance.

Keep in mind that the full version isn't out yet and what you got there is the open beta client :)

Select normal audio quality, and not highest.
And make sure the drivers of mainboard / chipset and audio are also up to date, not only video drivers ;)

Picked up the new Canyon module too & I'm having the same freezes and Mania Planet Not Responding. I read some earlier posts and found the old non-beta Mania Planet client and launched TM2 Canyon. I'm having the same freezes and the non beta Mania Planet is 'Not Responding' in Task Manager after the freeze. I'm using Comodo as well and I've set firewall privileges to Mania Planet as a Trusted Application.

Email Support at Mania Planet referred me to http://support.ubisoft.com

Any ideas on making this a playable game? Any ideas on what the problem is?

Thanks!

I appreciate that this is a beta module. This is where we do our part to bring in out of beta correct? I've been going over my OS runnning programs and services line by line to track down the offending application or service. I've had much success by removing Comodo (U.K. based) Internet Security & installing my local ISP Security application. TM2 freezes hardly at all since that change was made. However, one freeze is one too many. I'm currently working with the ubisoft technical support team to make the game flawless (as any game should be) leaving only driver/operator error as an excuse for poor marks.

It's fine to hear that you are working with the support :)
Did you select the normal quality for the audio settings in your game launcher as suggested by TMarc?

Yes, I did. The audio is stable at the normal setting.

Having played a bit with the audio setting at normal occasionally the no sound at startup still occurs. Going through some old forum posts I found a profiler utility used to diagnose TM2 & upon attempting to install it it asked for an OpenAL dll. Does TM2 use OpenAL? and if so why isn't it installed when Mania Planet is installed?

It is installed, there should be a OpenAL32.DLL in one of the ManiaPlanet folders.
But it might conflict with a already existing older version somwhere else on your system.

Hello,
Could you please
a) download
http://files.maniaplanet.com/ManiaPlane ... 7_Logs.zip
b) unzip the ManiaPlanet_Logs.exe in your install folder, then run this exe instead the launcher
c) set the game in windowed (not fullscreen)
d) play 'till you get the 'not responding' issue
e) execute ManiaPlanetLauncher while the game is frozen, it should ask you if you want to terminate the game say yes (in other cases than yours the game could be frozen for a "good" reason like loading)
f) send us back the generated crash log here.

Thanks
