[B3.1][Stadium] Landing bug

Now that i have been playing the Beta for quite some time now, i noticed that the landing bug got way worse. More often you will get it and it ruins a lot of tracks! Hope this get better!

AFAIR when TMN was followed by TMNF it was said that a number of the best players in the world did the beta testing and nobody ever said anything about a landing bug.

I never beta tested TMNF so I can't tell.

I also never had landing bugs.

I do have a lot of bad landings, both in TMNF and in TM2B, possibly more so in TM2B. And so I train to avoid such bad landings. Over and over again. And on occasion I can finish a notoriously "bad" track without having any bad landings at all.

The landing bugs seem to be overreaching the error of margin in alignment when your wheels touch the ground. It's usually accompanied by a sound effect that tells you something went wrong. Just how wrong, you often find out at the next checkpoint.

I'm not saying that increasing the error of margin that would still keep you safe would necessarily be a bad idea. I'm also not saying that people with poorer FPS or connections should get an advantage. I usually have a pretty good connection myself, but on a few occasions when my connection has been less than perfect, I've found myself struggling very hard to avoid bad landings.

The only track on which I was getting landing bug on regular bases (few times in a row on the same section, where you need to jump to the left from the ramp) was DeliciousShort#1. I played it on the first day when beta came out and I was a bit disappointed since NADEO was claiming that they get rid of landing bugs.
I'll add replay or video later.

Though I doubt that there is a possibility to get rid of those bugs without changing game physics drastically, which basically would ruin the game.

As far as I know, the calculation of the movement of the cars doesn't have to do anything with the internet. When racing online, the only thing that is controlled is the syncronisation of server's and client's clocks. That's the reason why PF-tracks are working online. On every computer, no matter how old it is, the movement of the car is calculated equally.
I don't know what You mean with "landing bug". Do You mean that You sometimes turn around quickly when landing, leaning a bit sideways? That is occuring since TMS (TrackMania Sunrise) and seems not to be important enough to fix it through TMSX, TMN, TMF and finally TM². This issue is around 7 or 8 years old.

The most common and annoying thing about this bug is that you get a slow down all of a sudden after landing.
But I agree with you about internet connection influence.
