Points for hits?

I've been trying to use my Google-fu in vain to find the answer to this...
I know that you get
+0 points for hitting somebody classed as beginner in Royal, but when do you get the
+2:s,
+3:s etc.?
I thought it was for getting more hits on the same player, but I've hit the same player twice in a row getting +1:s for each. Not that it's that important, it would just be nice to know!

when you hit someone you get +1.
When you hit that same person instantly again with your next rocket you will get +2.
Another instant rockets = +3
...
example : you fire 3 rockets as fast as you can and they all hit the same person = +3

I thought so as well, but it doesn't seem to be that way. I've shot the same player twice in quick succession, and only received
+1:s for both hits, similarly I've gotten
+3:s for my first hit of the round.

Royal is not my area of expertise, but I can tell you that you get +2 and +3 for hits towards the end, when offzone is activated.

The more hits you do in Royal, the more points you get for each one. I once got about +5/+6 per hit, with a good round. But I don't know many hits you need to reach the "next step", meaning to get 1 point more.

Been a while since I played Royal (Half a year or so), but I don't think it was changed. That's how it worked then:
First and second hit in a round - 1 + 1 pt
Third and fourth hit in the same round - 2 + 2 pt
Fifth and sixth - 3 + 3
etc
So basically, your points always go 1, 2, 4, 6, 9, 12, 16, 20, 25, 30, 36, ... (touching square numbers on every second hit, halfway between them otherwise)
