The ESWC is over and it's now the time to choose the next mappack. It will be released in January and we need the help of motivated players to have a great mappack.

This time, we will work in 2 times. First, a poll is open to choose the 4 maps to keep from the ESWC mappack and our last mappack. Second, we will propose the 5 maps to add.

Here is a resume for the planning:

17 November : Beginning of the poll to keep 4 maps from ESWC Mappack and the last mappack
30 November : End of the poll to keep 4 maps from ESWC Mappack and the last mappack
14 December : Beginning of the poll to take 5 maps
4 January : End of the poll to take 5 maps
6 January : Release of the mappack

I like Eclypse a lot. I think it has competitive potential. Everything else, meh...

But I voted. Some maps are rly good!

We need to limit several votes per player. It's not perfect but we can control if needed

why isnt there like a beta map fase? Where we all can share some suggestions to improve the maps. When thats ready , then vote.

Some maps are good, but could be way better ...

We think about a solution to improve maps during the selection but it will not for this mappack. For the moment you can contacted the mapper to propose some improvements for the next selection (PM ingame or other).

worst map pack ever for elite competitions, seriously.. don't ask the casual players to vote, wtf

The "casual vote" is the easy and bad explanation about this mappack. This mappack is the result of the quality of maps we have received and motivated people to work on it.

This mappack is bad but because it's bad, the next will be great. We receive more good maps, several teams are motivated to help for the pre-selection and it will be not like this if this mappack was excellent.

Casual players can vote because it's one of method to give the passion of competitions to everyone. It's a very important point and don't forget this. If the quality of the maps grow, casual players will vote for better maps too. You have 9 maps, you can always ban the worst map.

Our system will evolve, and for us, it will be the best system in long term. It can be difficult at the beginning but the most important thing is to think about the long term.
