[TM2]CONNECTION: error 12301 when connect[fixed]

I have a problem, for the last 2 days I can't connect to the game, when I try it says error 12301 "cannot connect to the server". I bought the game and I'm really upset I can't play. Tried restarting my modem, router and my own switch. And I was able to play before the problem happened.
I'm trying to connect to mp05.trackmania.com server if anyone interested.

are you really sure it is 12301 and not 12031?
Because about 12029 and 12031 many threads exist. And if they are in French only, they can easily be translated.

It is 12031, but I only found 1 thread about it and it's from 2011 and said tm2 was in maintenance. Can you link me some threads?

A few minutes ago it seemed as if the titles couldn't be chosen for me.
Did a ping test but it seemed ok for all maniaplanet servers, but mostly mine connects to mp02.maniaplanet.com and then gets bounced through all mania master servers.

Thanks, both of you, but it seems so weird! I pinged all the maniaplanet servers and I'm getting normal ping in all of them, except for mp05, my server, he is the only 1 that doesn't return any ping! Is it down or something? and is there a way to change server?

*sigh* mp05 and mp06 are subject of connection issues since a while already.
I don't know if it is possible to move the players but this could be a good idea.
meanwhile please confirm the connection issue by executing and posting the results of
tracert mp05.maniaplanet.com
