as few minutes ago i joined spec on our server and noticed an ugly behavior
the screen lights up occasionally on some player hits, this is terribly annoying and is causing the screen to flicker
see this vid

the real flickering isn't recorded on the stream and i don't know how to describe it properly
basically the screen turns black for like 1 frame during the highlighting

does it happen to you as well?

in the shown game mode players may lose armor (through the script) and each time a player loses an armor in this way the screen lights up ..

I don't remember exactly, but there was already a similar report, you might want to search a bit for it
- try to change between full screen and full window mode.
- don't use a second monitor
- don't use FSXAA
- have video drivers updated on a WHQL version, not Beta.

they are up-to-date

i may should have mentioned that the exact same behaviour happens on the end of a team mate as well

this is very strange indeed, is it on any server? Or might this be a server plug'in?
The one map is on water, perhaps also a bug with some lighting here.

I think the highlighting is caused by self hits (yes that's possible)
But in nearly every mode they are disabled and so it hasn't been noticed yet..
You could check it on our server "devota tjost" (search for "tjost")
