Confusion of Leagues/Ladders/and their management.

Maybe it's me, but with ManiaPlanet games, there seems to be some sort of "disconnect" between the game, finding games, leagues, tourney's, and their management.
You play on a ladder, but you can't see the ladder from any sort of website. I was under the impression that we could set up matches and leagues with ease from the ManiaPlanet Interface. Well, for such a huge part of the game, I can't seem where to see stats, nor setup any sort of league.
I seem to have to resort to digging around forums to find leagues/software etc. I thought this was all supposed to be already built. I find a ton of information in Europe, but in N. America, it's a wasteland. It's cool that ManiaPlanet decided to distribute through Steam, but once the game is installed, we are stuck with PUG games.
I want to setup a league using "Planet" but there doesn't seem to be any incentive to collect "planets".
For this game to be successful in the US, you have to have it as a separate genre, (eSport) and have the tools to promote it. If it's in game,.... I sure can't find it.
any information would be helpful, I just find it odd, that a game that relies on Leagues and Tourney's not to have any access to those important tools.
