[1.0] Spec loss of connection

What I have noticed is, if you join an empty server, and just spec, then the server can fill up with players, but you don't see any of it.
I noticed this by having a server in spec on one pc, while I do something else on another. After some time it was still empty, so I loaded the player page to view other servers and found the server I was in, was in fact full. I tried to exit spec, and server then told me I was disconnected.
I think this is not a one off, as I have experienced it before without it being a precise enough observation to report, but this time I was suspecting it, so I checked the player page to find the proof.
