I bought the game (2 weeks ago) mostly because of the custom skin showing to other players and the "planet-spending".
I've always been in love of trackmania, but for some reason my skin is not showing up to other players.

• Is it true that you need to open some ports? to get the skin uploaded?
• I have played on one server for a long time, but even the active players can't see my skin.
• I have allowed the Upload at the settings and at the in-game

I have NAT on, because I need to use WiFi connection, and that is the reason I can't open the ports. So could there be some kind of place, where we can upload our skins, so we don't need to send those skins directly to the server, but the server should download them from the place where we uploaded our skins?

So in short, I suggest that we could have a place where we can upload our skin, and the server can get the skin from there.

I heard about the locators a few weeks, but I didn't find any tutorials for that here
And I didn't know I had to do that like that. I just heard that I had to use the car as a profilecar, lol.

Well, seems like it didn't work. I did it with dropbox, but it didn't seem to work right.

Skin and .loc file location
\Skins\Models\StadiumCar\GreenrG.zip
\Skins\Models\StadiumCar\GreenrG.zip.loc

.loc file Not sure what I did wrong?

The link in your locator leads to a zip-file, that has only 2 files in it and also it`s only a Diffuse.dds, not a SkinDiffuse.dds. Seems there is something wrong with the uploaded zip-file!

did you take the skin from TMNF/Trackmania Carpark?

As Omnixor alluded to, cars from TrackMania Nations Forever/United Forever do not work with TM2 Stadium. Download cars from ManiaPark to use in TM2.

I selfmade this skin in the TM2 skineditor.

Soo..... I'm gonna try the maniapark cars and then let's see
EDIT: It is how it is supposed to be in TM2:Stadium.

EDIT: Seems like the thing doesn't work with internet sticks. I think I need static IP and opened ports.... meh...
