Getting rid of the environment?

For a title pack I'm doing it'd be nice to get rid of the ground, could it be possible to completely remove the environment and only have the blocks? Even better death zone where if you fall too far you get automatically put on the last checkpoint/start block!

I know you can sort of get rid of the "stadium" if you use TMUnlimiter, but almost nobody uses that...
