Just something i'd like to adress

Hello everybody,
Lately it has come to my attention that SM has slowly been dyeing. No doubt everybody that reads this has at least a dash of interest for the game. However the few people that are here wont do.
Take a look at the big events that happened. Eswc, Ipl, even the 100 k tourneys. No attention was given to SM what so ever, at its peak as far as i remember 5k people were watching. So far allot of good players like 4K or Colwn have stopped playing because they don't see the reason. occasionally, if there is a big tournament they will play in it but that's it.
Heres the thing. Personally, i think that Ubisoft has given up and will leave the game to die.Sadly, i doubt the the so called community can do anything simply because theres so few of us. I remember in an interview one of the nedo said "The next big Fast Pased shooter esport" or something amongst the lines. Even tho they did their best, they didn't do good enough. Allot of the top players say that nadeo dosen't take the feed back as good as it should, some of the top players offered something to improve the esports scene, and it was neglected, i do not know to what extent this is true.
Heres the question that i pose to pretty much everyone out there ESPECIALLY nadeo crew. You guys are awesome, the support is awesome. However why will you need support if you have nothing to support? what are you planning on doing ?
The game that is shootmania the next big esports game, is slowly going away. Trust me, i want more than anything this to be a sucsses simply since its a great game. Don't let it die just like that.
Pick yourselves up, that's all i have to say... You might not be able to make a campeing as big as for example Warframe, but atleast try something.
Regards,
Flames

Only because the number of players is not constantly growing or exploding, it does not mean the game is already dead?
There was certainly a rush on the beta because it was free and many were interested to see what ShootMania is like,
but now we have to see the real growths after the release after things calmed down a bit.
There will also be new titles for ShootMania, and the customization has just started evolution (custom objects, items, bots, etc.).
ManiaPlanet is not anymore a set of games that are finished at the release and never changed anymore.
Many things will come for sure, but we have to be patient to some extent

Look, i can see that you're optimistic, and it pains me to say this, but i doubt sm will get as big as cs simply because so few people know about it. go arround a gaming area and ask people for example "YOu know cs" Answe will almost always be yes. Ask about sm and the asnwer is more likely to be no. THe thing is that nomatter how mnay titles sm gets. the community and publicity will sitll be the same. even after tb made a video about it things didint change that much.
I'd love to stay optimistic aswell but i doubt that will be possible without the interfierence of nadeo.

Definitely a good post
Although I don't fully agree with your point that this game is/will be ''dead''

I entirely agree... The point is, that there isn't any inducement to play this game except of practicing for tournamets. It may be harsh expressed, but that's true. Of course there are some real great oppurtunities such as creating maps/titels but this whole creativity part of this game shouldn't be the most inducement to play this game.
An inducement would be any kind of achievements as ''Best shooter of the day (the most shots of the day'' or just something like that. I believe too, that Shootmania best characteristic is his simpleness and skill-requiring gameplay and that is absolutely okay. By virtue of this simpleness, it just gets boring after playing this game for a while... And this may be the reason why people quit Shootmania.
Truely I love this creativity part of Shootmania, but this is the most significant reason why I am playing Shootmania.
( Love the map-editor

)
On the other hand, Nadeo really put effort into this game, e.g. publishing great new updates with new blocs/possibilities, but there should be something else too
This game should cause an additional inducement for players, that people will play this game in future too.
All the best,
Soprah

You totally forget that CS is there since... how many years already? 12 now?
CS is probably the most famous FPS regarding tactical military combat, besides Battlefield perhaps.
Before CS there was Doom and Quake, and those games set the genres in their way.
SM is a bit a mix of everyhting, its genre is perhaps not the newest, but the most attracting thing is without doubt the map editor.
It looks like you don't want to give SM any chance right from the beginning, and this is not really fair.
Wait 10 years and then we can discuss how good SM was really, looking back then
This has nothing to do with being optimistic or not btw.

I agree with 'inflames" and also with his second post!
TMarc , ur on the forums everyday so i know u care a lot & thats why u are an optimist! But sometimes its better to be a realist and look at the facts. The game isnt popular at all.
But I want to add one thing before we call this game dead and that is that it will be f2p in a couple of days/weeks and who knows it will gain a lot of popularity??!!? Lets hope for the best^^
I just hope they advertise it as free everywhere.

The only problem that I see, it's that there's not enough publicity. In North America, this superb game is unknow by most of the gamers. There is a minority of players that know about it.
I think that publicity could help the game to be more known by every gamers and casual players because in North America, it's pretty hard to find players to play with, so most of the time, I play in European servers

Yes, ok. But in my point of view this might be a problem. The more titles we'll have, the more the player base will be splitted between new titles. And if the playerbase won't grow significantly this is gonna be a real problem, imo

it is very sad to say i am thinking nadeo and ubisoft doesnt care enough to advertise this game outside europe. for example a lot of gaming news/review sites do not mention shootmania and even if they do they fail to mention important informations for example when shootmania had open beta or more importants when the game was official released
this is really easy way to advertise shootmania. if only they would contact those sites is very easy and i dont think it would cost them monies. i imagine these types of sites would thank them for giving them content to write for their site

but why we not see this on popular sites

not very hard to write article or make video on shootmania
also there is many game convention around the world. why we doesnt see shootmania in them

seem only seeing them in europe convention
hello

people are living outside europe. please help us play shootmania in the rest of world
