As you know, the moderators are doing what we can to remove the spam as it comes in and ban the user accounts associated with it.
Long term, regarding some spam prevention methods... that would be up to the admins. We've discussed it with some of the admins. As I understand it, there are concerns because the forum is already highly customized, so a forum mod/plugin could cause a lot of problems with the current custom db.
We share your disdain for these spammers, and trust me... no one wants to see something done against them more than the mod team. We'll see how things progress.

i appreciate the work eyebo but i didn't mean 'deleting the posts faster' or something like that ^.^
the goal would be preventing the post in the first place...
imo banning only the user account doesn't make much sense because the bot is just going to create a new one the next day
banning the specific ip should lead to more success
additionally the registration method could be improved, in our forum we've had constant bot spam until we've added a simple question to the registration progress and there has never been a bot in our forum since then

The moderators cannot ban IPs, only admins can do that.
Yeah, advanced registration process would probably help.

Banning a player is very harsh, but a must, but they should have 3 chances before they got banned permanently imo and forced to buy a new game/key to play again

or unlock there old one for a price...
or maybe ban them for 1 month

this is about banning forum spammers..
I think the best way to deal with them is to have only a small section of the forum (basic questions/faq) available for normal users and only allow access to the rest of the forum if you connect your login with your Maniaplanet ID through oauth..
