I don't know if you have noticed it (because you don't talk a lot about it ) but the Steam WorkShop has been launched for all the ManiaPlanet titles with the release of TrackMania² Valley.

hmm, somehow its great, but somehow its not so nice at all too,

what will happen to tmx, carpark etc? it seems like it will be divided into Steam players and normal players oO

Aslong tracks can't be added to servers straight away like they can from Mania-Exchange there's nothing to worry about.

People with a keen eye for high quality skins and models will always know where to find Maniapark. The only threat here is little irritating pirates selling on goods from Maniapark they haven't made theirselves.

Steam: IMO, yet another waste of time and resources from Nadeo.

Nope, since it adds up to advertisement of the game, adds up on payment methods etc. etc.

Just the way Maniaplanet doesn't work correctly with Steam (restart the game etc.) makes it much worse, but the advertisement etc. is the main reason they did it (I hope).

So Steam gets a 'share files' link in the game?

Lovely for them, isn't it.

The thing is that this severely promotes usage of the steam workshop while people 'forget' of MX/Maniapark/...

Yes, I know, that is my fear too. My previous post was meant to imply that we have TMX for map sharing!

Steam can be trusted.
External 3rd parties dont offer the same quality than steam.
Im not trying to step on anyones toes, but its true

steam is okay, how maniaplanet works in steam atm is not okay, another community division is not okay either.
