They drive this transition Valley track
http://tm.mania-exchange.com/s/tr/44965, they provide the music and listen to it exactly to the sounds while driving.
What do they hear ?
I hear at every jump, bump an drum or someone on an empty 200L oil drum beats.
Should this be racing noises ?
I think it made it cheap and nasty, it sucks and just sounds plain bad.
If this could be fixed eventually, I think it would be necessary.

I tried with music off, I fear and it is the normal valley car sound, perhaps only worsened by the music of that map, when the bumps coincide with the beat
But you're right, it somehow sounds like a hollow box with some nails and screws in it, or someone slamming the door of a garage
I never paid too much attention to the sound, much too much busy with driving

I've just found the sounds you might have been mentioning above:
Look into PacksCache\TMValley_HD.zip\Vehicles\Media\Audio\Sound\WavData\ValleyBody
Also look into PacksCache\TrackMania.zip\Vehicles\Media\Audio\Sound\WavData, there are a few sounds with name Valley...

Yes, I have already seen.
The only problem is, I could modify the files for me, with sounds that I want.
Only the game remembers this the next game start and immediately draws an update to the files again to change back.
So I need a solution like a mod of the remains.

perhaps you can modify the sounds if you store them in your profile folder.
but not in the original files, as they are always checked and downloaded again if they were altered.
