Discovered Something - Allister Brimble working on TM2!(?)

A little while ago I was looking up one of top two favourite game composers -- Allister Brimble (the other is Dan Wentz, not like you wanted to know :P). Looking up his portfolio of games he has worked on/is currently working on, I came upon an interesting name... "TrackMania 2".
First off I'd like to know if this is actually true... if it is, then awesome! And if he is working on TM2/Maniaplanet, is he working as a musician, or in some other capacity? (e.g. sound effects, audio manager, etc).

Why don't I show some examples of why I like his work so much? This stuff is all from one game, the one I know him best for:

According to this he worked on Trackmania DS and "Trackmania 2", but again the platform is the Nintendo DS. Also, when you use google, it says that "Trackmania DS 2" was announced. I think he is not working on TM2's music.

Ive played Descent. I cant rememeber the music though but the ingame sounds were fantastic. It really created a great atmosphere. And after doom, the flying felt so free. :thumbsup:

EDIT
I got so excited thinking back about this game that i purchaced it from GoG. :yes:

I agree with both of you, but imho it needs more MSR - Club Paris (de Richard Jacques) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ep4_lV62KJs

But yeah, Japanese are the bests when it comes to video games music.

Lol -- there's still a really active community around all 3 games, and 2 great sourceports for the first two games: DXX-Rebirth http://www.dxx-rebirth.com/ and D2X-XL http://www.descent2.de. Both the ports add a multitude of new stuff to the game -- and each has a tracker for multiplayer games and some new gamemodes. Their philosophies are where they differ, but personally I don't see why they shouldn't co-exist peacefully (they don't. To put it mildly, their creators aren't very fond of each other).

I think my avatar says that I'm still a fan of Descent, lol.

Back to topic! :P

Brilliant. Better graphics and multiplayer! :) Amazing that so many people still play this classic. :thumbsup:

Fnished first level and it was exactly how I remembered it. And the flying feels sooo smooth. Gotta get used to the controls though. Playing with mouse and awsd:

a=accelerate
s=reverse
a=slide left
d=slide right

As you can see im trying to play like a normal fps. Although I can't turn fast with the mouse this way. But it pretty much works. ;)
