Tower defence = AI?

I read a topic suggesting AI might or might not be in the game. If people have played tower defense games already doesn't that mean there needs to be some sort of AI? What if you only got 2-3 people on a server? You can't possibly have to much fun.. Besides, if you get to level 100 of the game or something it needs to be massively complex and hard, it is after all way past tutorial levels and will test your skills. As an example of course.

You're right, but the only thing known is that there will be some kind of scripted AI .

Since this is a multiplayer FPS, the game can't get "harder". I would not expect massively complex and hard singleplayer missions, but this is just speculation because there were no information regarding the scriptable AI.

Thanks. However i can see some servers running 15-20 minute games instead of 4-5 based on game modes. Tower defence isn't cool if it's only 4 minutes long, or if it's meant to be a "long" map...

I just want to get my hands on questmania/shootmania more than trackmania and see if they are going to pass or fail. I hope they pass.
