Trackmania campaign opponents

Hi!

In the current version is included a test/preview version of the 'ghost editor' that allows to create trackmania campaigns with opponents.

To try it:
  • Enable it by adding "/ghosteditor" on the command line.
    (you can, for instance, right click / edit properties on the windows desktop shortcut,
    and change the target to "[.....]\ManiaPlanet\ManiaPlanetLauncher.exe /ghosteditor" )
  • In the editors menus, a new button has appeared. Run it and follow instructions...
  • it will produce a special replay in "Documents\ManiaPlanet\Replays\CreatedGhosts" containing the 4 medal ghosts, and it will modify the maps to adjust the actual medal times.
  • You can then create your campaign folder as usual,
    by moving the maps to Maps/Campaigns/{name}/{level}/{Map.gbx}
    And move the replays next to the associated maps.
    (A replay must have the same filename as the map to be picked up by the game. XXX.Map.gbx and XXX.replay.gbx)
  • Create the title, and enjoy the opponents!
Known bug: when using the title, if you have a copy of the campaign map somewhere in your maps folder, the ghosts may not be found. So make sure you moved away any duplicates of the campaign maps!

Now let's test it...

First results: It doesn't recognize the ghosts well. My replays are located in the ManiaPlanet/Replays folder. For the author ghost it uses the fastest replay but for the rest it uses only the slowest one. I even renamed the replays but still the same result. I used a random track from the MX. I didn't test the manual recording yet.

(the "" are only needed because there is a space included in the location name, it's not intended to surround the complete command)

Ok, I tested it again...

This time I made a simple map and recorded 4 replays. For the author medal it used the fastest replay, for the gold medal it used the second fastest replay, for the silver medal it used the third fastest replay and for the bronze medal it also used the third fastest replay. The manual recording seems to work just fine, though.

I make a Test and at the end i have a problem.

I drive 4 Ghosts

Then i start the Game with the special /ghosteditor and make the Medalghostreplay. I take this 4 Replays and dont drive in the Editor a new one.

Then i make the Pack with the Track and the Replay inside.

Install the Pack and found this

The question is:
Where are the Authorghost?
And why the Time from the Goldmedal is 36.06 and on the singlereplay 36.22?

author times are default disabled, you need to reach author time to see it
