Welcome to the SpeedBall Release Cup by Team»Ðevota.

To celebrate the release of the Speedball-Titlepack we will host ManiaPlanets first Speedball Tournament from Friday, 30th of August until Sunday, 1st of September.

The played game mode will be 3vs3 SpeedBall with Friendly Fire enabled and three maps will be played in each match. The mode of the tournament will be Double Elimination.
We will have a MapPool of eight maps which you can test on our different title pack server.
Up to 16 teams can register for the cup.

Registration
To sign up for the cup please send an E-Mail to speedball@team-devota.com with following information:

[Name of the Team]

[Login of Player 1]
[Login of Player 2]
[Login of Player 3]
[Login of Player 4] (substitute, optional)

You will get a confirmation as soon as your registration is processed.

Registration is open until 30th of August (the day the tournament starts) 19:00h.
The Check-In deadline for the tournament will be at 19:30h.
For that, please leave a message in our forums to confirm that you'll be there.


Prizes
For the winners as well as for rank two and three Ubisoft themselves have provided some Shootmania-Swag!
The first place will get each one T-Shirt.
The second will get Sunglasses
and the third gets sweatbands.
We want to thank Ubisoft for these prizes.

In case a Team with Devota-Members would win a prize, it will be passed down to the next team.
If necessary we will organise extra matches to determine the winners of those prizes.


Teamspeak and IRC
During the tournament we will be present in the Devota-Teamspeak as well as in an IRC-Channel special fo the Release Cup.
If you have any questions or want to stay in touch with the organisers to be informed as soon as the next matches are determined you can find us there.

Also anyone who needs a teamspeak channel for his team during the tournament, don't hesitate to ask us. You can have an extra channel in our Teamspeak.

Awesome stuff!
I've never played Speedball before, but I've just done my first matches and it looks really tactical based and funny!
The custom blocks are awesome as well.. I will go ahead and create some speedball maps in the next days just because of the nice blocks!

In addition to that, I wanna participate at the competition but I haven't got any speedball-team so far.. So, if anyone is interested to practice with me for the upcoming cup, just ask me! If the guy is german, it would be even better in Teamspeak

There is no guarantee that it'll work, but it won't hurt, that's for sure.

SpeedBall has always been the best mode for SM, will play it !

Hey guys, I have summed up how the tournament should run in a few words, so if you have registered it sure is a good idea to take a look at it.
You'll find it here in our forum.

So far 10 teams are registered for the tournament. We are quite optimistic that it will be at least twelve teams in the end. Thank you all for signing up. :D

If you haven't yet, you can still sign up until 30th of August (the day the cup starts) until 19:00h CEST.
