Canyon preparations, what are you working on?

As we all are waiting for canyon to be released (and probably visiting this forum multiple times each day just to keep up to date and come to the conclusion nothing's changed)
i was wondering what everyone is doing to prepare for the big day.
Personally i am busy designing a website for a big trackmania project to be started later this year.
Also trying to get the hang of 3d modeling to be able to create ingame content
Beside that i am working on some logos (stickers) i can add to my carskin
so eh,.. curious what you are doing
On a sidenote: please don't say "betatesting canyon" as that is not what this thread is about. It's about your personal preparations, like buying new gear, creating new content in advance etc
note to mods: this topic isn't meant to be off topic, more like "who's doing what" to build bridges on trackmania 2 related projects inside the community

Well, for most, I'm waiting to get to know what Canyon is exactly going to offer me. As of know, I still don't know how maniascript is going to be, so I'm not sure how it will interfere with mapping. I'm also not sure how importing of 3d models is going to be, if it's still only supporting 3ds-files, or more, which means I'm not sure which program I should learn. And I'm not sure how modding will be, easier or more complex?
It's hard to prepare for something you know so little about :\

I am doing NOTHING, besides waiting for the release date and hopefully more "stupid" games or whatever it takes to join the testing.

Anyway, Zooz told me you have to be an expert on TM to be part of the beta testing but I aint like that.... I am just driving and having fun with the game. So no beta for me or anything else for the community. I simply just can't do it.
To all wich are doing all the great stuff for the community: Keep Up The Good Work

I'm sitting in front of my computer and reading about what're people doing before game release.
But really - I do nothing. I'm just sitting and waiting for release. THEN I'll talk about, for example, what is the first thing I did in Canyon. But as for now, I'm just waiting.

Same as Ouwe, I'm mostly sitting in front of the computer watching this forum and waiting for the release ^^
I've already saved enough money and I have a good keyboard, a gamepad and a wheel which I can play TM² with. I'm prepared.

You do have to have some experience with TM² already, but you don't have to be in the Top 100 worldwide or something to be a good beta tester. You simply have to try everything out and report bugs which pop up, that's the key for being a good beta tester. At least that's what I think, I've never been in a beta test and therefore I don't know what it's really like. I'm just guessing.

Getting servers ready. Redoing my entire network, getting a rack, a single server hopfully with 16TB's worth of backup for my entire network, and other goodies to run a trackmania 2 server 24/7... Though i'm going to defiantly make tracks.

I wanted to start early with creating a new signs/adds pack but since I have no idea about sizes and stuff, I'm just on a hold. I'm trying not to read this forum too much because most post annoy the heck out of me coz everything is just guessing and hearsay...

If you build your signs using vector images you won't have to wait. If you build a vector image on a 10x15 size, you can resize it to 10.000.000x15.000.000 and it still won't have any sawteeth.
(in photoshop/illustrator, just use the Pen tool and don't rasterize layers)
