Hey Everyone!

I am very happy to announce our upcoming Ask A Dev live stream event! I (Johkr aka @JustinJKruger on twitter) will be moderating the event and will be asking questions to Edouard Beauchemin, Product Manager at Nadeo. We will cover everything from TrackMania, ShootMania, and will try to answer questions to the best of our ability.

Here we go:
Are you preparing something for the anniversary of Trackmania?
Will you release even more blocks to TM2:S?

a) why are there no slidemarks in spectator mode?
b) are you able to fix the issue with the slidemarks?

Will you ever let us modify the .zip files that contain the game's main files? I want to implement my own custom sound and textures like I did in Trackmania United. Nothing to give me an advantage during gameplay, just to make the game more "personal"; tailored to my exact personality. The ability to do this in previous Trackmania games was part of what made them so special to me.

EDIT: Also, while I'm here — are you ever going to implement the unused "ExhaustFlame" ("Exhaust1" + "Exhaust2") string in the game's code?

How was the transition from Sunrise to Nations? Making a free game, making a single environment after having made 3 for Original and Sunrise and how it influenced the crew after the huge success.

Not sure if you are able to answer this, but I would like to know

When will update #3 come out?

1. In terms of E-sport and competition; TrackMania Nations ESWC was made particularly for this purpose. As it stands today, TMNF is the most popular racing game for events to pick up. We see E-sport being one of the most popular growing market for games to become known and popular. Does NADEO have any ambitions of developing the E-sport aspect of TM2S any further? Or will they continue rely on community based progress?

A great example here is Valve and their marketing strategy with DotA 2.

2. It's almost as if this has become an evil circle where people request it, but somehow it gets turned down every time. Where are they slide-marks in spectator mode? This would be one of the things to improve the game as an E-sport, as analysing the game for both players and casters would be a lot easier.

1. Will you start promoting the community websites (dedimania, tmx, mania-exchange) more and forget more unnecessary things like steam workshop? This game is alive because of it's community, and if the community gets weaker the game gets weaker.

2. When multienviservers?!

why no slide marks in spectator mode?

Do you plan to Carry on supporting Canyon and the other TM2 Environments long after release? (new blocks etc..)

Do you guys play Trackmania or Shootmania for fun like in your free time, or even while at work?

I would like to know:
1. If/when multi-environment servers will be available
2. Will they be true multi-Title servers or just multi-Environment? (Meaning, will I be able to have a server that would do a TM2 Valley map, then a ShootMania: Royal map, then TM2: Canyon, etc. -- or will it be purely TM2 Canyon/Stadium/Valley, but not other titles?)

I would also like to know if we will get one more TrackMania 2 environment and at least one more ShootMania environment before QuestMania is released?
