Do anyone think Nadeo will ever resolve this ?

It's close to a year now !!

(people from Germany don't bother commenting, because you won't have the problem).

I'd welcome this solution. I'm playing without p2p enabled after years of having fun in custom stuffs.

There's only so much a developer can do for that content if the information to download it is only found on a machine connected to a router that for whatever reason doesn't have the right configuration (I don't know exactly how port-forwarding is set up -- if I ever get the chance to set it up I'll learn ). As far as p2p goes I don't really know if there's another solution for uploading that doesn't require port-forwarding. But logically, from the not-inconsiderable amount I do know about how non-dedicated servers work (and why they can't be hosted without port-forwarding), I don't think there would be.

I know there are some apartment buildings that use a central internet connection and network where tenants aren't allowed to change router settings. There's not anything Nadeo could do to stop those routers from blocking the games' attempts to upload an avatar or a car skin to the other players on a server.
And there are plenty of other reasons that aren't the players' fault or Nadeo's. And as much as I'd love it if they did find a way around it so that people could see my species changing every week, if they did it would almost certainly cause more legal problems for them than what it fixes for us. And those legal problems would probably cause problems for the game itself, which would cause far worse problems for us...
Sometimes there are problems with no good solution. Like terminal cancer. At least this isn't terminal cancer.

This issue is real. People who has set up port-forwarding and configured firewalls etc have p2p not functioning in TM2, even though it works in TMUF and other p2p-games.

Ofcourse there are examples, like in your case, where the player obviously is unable for various reasons to configure a working p2p-regardless. Thats not a game-issue like you say, but the issue the op is referring to is.

I have too wondered this.
I've forwarded server and p2p ports (have done port forwarding before so that's nothing new).
Given TM2 all rights from Windows Firewall.
Have skin on my Stadiumcar-folder with locator file. And copy of skin in Dropbox, where locator points to.

I also have my own avatar (ocean logo from the 80's). And someone online asked me is that a TM2 team. So Itäs confirmed that someone has seen my avatar, but zero confirmation that anybody actually has seen my car skin.

Is this problem now confined to regions or not ?

A quick check this afternoon... I raced +- 1 hour on a busy stadium server ( lol maps --> dont tell anyone :p )
and most of the avatars from Europe I could see and 0% of other countries from africa, new zealand aus etc.

So far Germany and France works. Doubt they can see my car though.

Actually a further test.. Netherlands don't work either .. however if say for example, I download any of Zenyata's tracks which she always insist of having her car ... then its downloaded and I can see her online at any given time.

So if Nadeo don't come up with a solution soon, we will just have to share our creations 'manually'. It will be a real pity if Nadeo gives us another set of grey cars for xmas.
