Usually the persons worth to be interviewed are chosen by Nadeo, for their apparent considerable contribution to the community in the past and in the present.

It's not like everyone can show up there at will and ask for a rendez-vous

Then a lot more people would deserve applause as well, and this way before.
Many people have been following and contributing to the TrackMania community since years, some have been there all the 10 years. I think the queue is quite long then

It's not that I don't grant your mate success, if someone does something great, applause is deserved of course.

But please understand that the spotlight is not there just to advertise and to promote players, but rather to thank the players for their enduring and valuable effort for the community.
It's not just youth, apparent big engagement and one or a few nice or even good mods which necessarily and automatically makes big celebrities, especially in the sense for the spotlight.

However, it is the decision of Nadeo whom or what to present there.
