I have a steam version of TM2 Valley and I cannot create a ManiaPlanet account. I have tried. And there is no way that I can on the net, which is a big ass pain. The 'webpage' player.maniaplanet.com dies not load. I'm very irritated at the lack that ubisoft, and Nadio give. Or should I say they just dont give any support.

My problem is that I cannot create an account and when I 'play offline', I cannot play because maniaplanet comes up with this little notice that simply says, "This title isn't playable".

I have looked at forums and I have tried to navigate everything. Unfortunately there seems to be no second way for anything to be done. AND VALLEY IS NOT EVEN IN ANY OF THE SITES!!!!!

please give me a solution? I am loosing my temper with Ubi and Nadio.

MY FIREWALL IS LETTING IT THOUGH!! (I'm not dumb. There is nothing wrong with my internet setup what-so ever)

ADD-ON:
what is the actual (memory) size of Valley? I want to make sure it is actually complete. I have verified it with steam and it came back with the all clear.. so it should be done, but I just want to make sure.

I suggest you to delete the local data from your computer (uninstalling the game) and to redownload it through Steam.

If your Maniaplanet account isn't created yet, you have to create through the Steam version, you can't register your Valley key through the Player Page.

I have removed and re-installed from steam. ( I installed it from there the first time too) Still no luck.

Like I said, my firewall is working great, it is letting the game through. I have looked at the the forums and the wiki pages and everything.

The same faults occur..

You can only create an account if you are online. Did you check if Internet Explorer was not offline? Did you try to create an account by deactivating your firewall and your antivirus and then reactivating them?

Check your hosts file if the connection may be rerouted there.

Check if you can visit/ping 178.33.43.29 .

In my initial post I stated that my firewall is working fine.

And internet, hmmmm how am I posting this on the computer which has steam on it.... Perhaps my internet IS working?

Open Internet Explorer. Try to connect www.maniaplanet.com.

Try launching ManiaPlanet in windowed mode, to see if there is any message in the background.
Tray also launchinh ManiaPlanet.exe with administrator priviledges (usually required once on first launch and after each update of ManiaPlanet).

Which firewall and which antivirus software are you using?

Are you also using Mumble, Wiala, or other internet intensive applications like P2P downloaders, file sharing tools etc.?
Please shut down every application which usually runs automatically on startup or that you usually start manually.

maniaplanet opens up.
no messages in windowed mode.
Admin privileges do not work. same result as if not used.

Kaspersky is running anti-virus and firewall.

I have disabled it and tried to connect, some result.

I am not doing anything on my pc, only this forum and steam open, (so I can run Maniaplanet).

It is very strange you can't even connect to http://player.maniaplanet.com
But you can't create an account there anyways, as this has to be done from the game client.

Are you using Wifi? If yes, please connect via LAN cable to your router.
