It first seems to be based on TM, but after watching the trailer, I wouldn't be sure... :?

Gonna be honest... this game has potential. It seems to be a take on Nitronic rush with TM features, I'm not sure if that was split-screen I saw in it but it seems to be fairly well set out. Nadeo is still to reach into the future (although I can think of a few environment ideas that aren't too Neon based city)

I own this game. Backed it on Kickstarter, very fun but I don't think it's really appealing to TM players as it relies on stunts a lot. We'll see though =)

"Coming when it's ready" also relates to TM.

Maybe it's the next TM environment :)

I also backed it and played the beta a bit. Lack of maps made me quit playing quite early though.

Makes me realize just how much new maps to drive all the time matters to TM.

Distance has great potential though. :) Looking forward to seeing how far they take it. The team seems very committed.

This looks like a clone of Nitronic Rush , which is 100 % free to download

EDIT : "Distance is a spiritual successor to the multi-award winning Nitronic Rush, created by ourselves and 6 others while attending DigiPen Institute of Technology. We're redesigning Distance from the ground up to support a host a crazy new features:" 8-)

Only thing I liked better about Nitronic Rush was the announcer. :D That was great.

But otherwise, in all other respects, Distance is far more polished.

I played beta today and it was amazing. They are using Unity engine so the graphics looks quite good (cell-shading), there is advanced track editor and 4 gamemodes.

Multiplayer looks cheap but maybe because of beta :) They are using p2p structure where players can host rooms(6 players max).

Gameplay part is really good. You need to use boost and wings in correct moment to not overheat the power core.

Design is really great, sci-fi buildings and obstacles were very polished.

Summary: The game looks great right now, I can't wait to try final version.
