I used to play Shootmania a lot, now I have started playing it again it has developed a weird problem.

I have been playing only Elite now that I have started playing again and most of the time my actual ping is fine, I can move around the map, shoot and everything reacts the way it should.

The problem I have is after one or two turns the scoreboard, chat and timer break, they completely stop updating, along with things such as the pop up that tells you the distance lasers have been shot and the popup for the pole being captured and the rating for the map buttons stop working.

So the game is "playable" until you finish the match, as because the score board hasn't updated, it does not leave the match, I don't appear to get ladder points, and I can't leave the match without being penalized.

One curious thing that does happen though, is at random points usually once or twice at match, everything will update, so the score board will display the correct information, the timer will work and all of the pop ups that should of appeared during the time everything stopped updating suddenly appear one after another.

So, does anyone have any idea what is causing this, and how to fix it?

Try to reduce the network bandwith ManiaPlanet is using, in the Launcher configuration (advanced -> network).
Typically indicate less than half of the bandwith you have with your ISP.

Thanks for the quick reply, unfortunately this hasn't helped, I have tried limiting my bandwidth by various amounts but no luck, any other suggestions?

If you are patient, soon (next week or the week after) there will be a update that should fix some performance issues.

Thank you, I am currently re-installing anyway to see if that will help.

It's strange, but today there is no problem at all. So a message to anyone who has the same problem as me, just wait and it will magically fix itself
