I'm trying update to Maniaplanet 3 on Win 8.1 by hylis instructions on playerpage, but game freeze after welcome screen with please wait...
I see only clouds. After kill process (not responding) in task manager there is still displayed like normal running and can not be closed, it is very strange and crashlog isn't created. I'm also trying clear install and update, the result is same. Need to set other parameters in Nvidia control center..? Default solves nothing. How should I proceed?

How long did you wait before killing the process?
Did you run it in windowed mode, to see if there is any firewall popup in the background?

I tried to disable the firewall and works.
Thank you and sorry that I did not think. There was no problem with previous versions.

The ManiaPlanet.exe file has changed, hence it is detected as potential intrusion and therefore blocked
