Lagarith + Mac = Bad Idea

Hello everyone!

Some time ago, I asked you about the best codecs, and you told me about Lagarith. Yesterday I downloaded and tried it in my PC, and the raw files looked amazing!

But I edit my videos on a Mac, because my pc isn't powerful enough to handle HD Video Editing!
And... Surprise! Macs doesn't support Lagarith (at least from what I've read)

I want to ask you about a free video editor to join the multiple raw files resulting of the render and export them in a codec supported by Macs. I've thought about H.264, but I really don't know anything about this... :D

I know apps like Premeiere or Sony Vegas, but tell me about easier, just to join the videos...

And what about a loseless codec like Lagarith but compatible with Macs?

I've heard about Xvid and Cinepak by Radius.
