Just want to thank Nadeo for ruining shootmania. I really hope you dont make the same mistakes in your next FPS game (if you ever make one) I will buy it for sure, but I hope you don't ruin it. I tried very hard to keep it alive, had 3 servers at one point, advertised it but adding the teleporters literally killed your game. cheers

Every day when I see that demo is not complete yet and design is still same I just don't see new players. Release demo asap, improve design of server browsers please :/

I don't like teleports in elite a lot. You might think you have idea where the attacker is and a decent cover, then he appears out of nowhere and you are screwed.

If you have your own servers, why do you not simply chose to use maps
without teleporters?
This could even be a distinction and a
center of attraction to have a
tp-free server for all those who do not like them.
It is certainly your task as server manager to take a minimum care and to select the maps you're proposing.
But to take just any map from the community unsighted, and then to complain that they have tp and to blame those who only give us the tools for gaming (Nadeo) is a little bit unfair, don't you think?
It's not only Nadeo you have to blame then, but also the mappers (for using tp) and the players (for not rating tp maps --)

You said it all. In facts, tp fits better in Obstacle maps than others game modes.

So if there are some servers without TPs, I have to go though hassle of joining some server, seeing TPs, quit it, then go to another, and so on? This is not a solution. If to think about cups, who knows if map packs will have maps without TPs. If TPs are in game, there is no way to avoid them. I think they should be forbidden from elite by the game itself, so map will not be valid for elite if there are teleports.
I find them nice for fun modes like CTF. And for some competitive modes like 1v1 duel they are fine too, imo.

I think you are overexaggerating mate

1block ruins the game? Please
I've seen plenty of maps where the TP's just work fine. It's up to the mappers to place them in strategical places. You are also right that some maps can be bad/terrible with missplaced TP's... But that's not the game's fault, but the mapper's fault. I hope you understand that.
The fact that you had 3 servers and were trying to boost the playerbase is awesome! I'm trying to do the same. My 2 biggest wishes at the moment are the universal demo & a killer design ( menu's & ingame ).

I don't like them in Siege either... defenders just camp on them with nucs until attacker comes out = instadeath.

I agree with novationx. The teleporter block is fine and it's the fault of the mappers if the match is broken due to bad placement of the TP.
On the contrary, I like them a lot! It offers a lot possibilites compared to the past. Me as a mapper, I disliked the restricted possibilites when you created a map before the third update. You have to use the teleporter wisely in order to provide exciting matches.
You have to learn how to use the teleporter as a mapper as well as a player.
It's like when you first entered Elite: At first, you were killed all the time. But after time, you master it. The teleporter is just an additional feature to learn and practice
Regarding to the playerbase: Let's wait until the Demo is released

hmm, in my opinion demo is not a solution. thousands of open beta players will not get back to the game. the question is why? It's quite simple. If someone try the game and don't like, he will not back again. Elite or TM2 10 years demo is a good presentation of this huge "audience". I'm quite sure, we will not see more than 700 players per day without Ubisoft ads or big cup like 100.000$ tournament.
