Sometimes some images or buttons get to black square (Screen from TMN ESWC title):

Usually, there's normal images.

I think because those images or gui were made with BIK?
If they are BIK they are deactivated and you will see black images.

If its possible i would recommend to swap to WebM videos instead.

No, it's not bik. And some ManiaPlanet buttons and all store gets to black

What type of image has been used instead ?

i think standard dds files, or something
