Internal items in Titlepacks

Dear Nadeo members,

As a titlepack manager (i can say other titlepack makers have the same issue) i'd like to have the possibility to hide some old items(obsolete) in the editor but still can play with them online.
Many reasons for that, fixing blocs, items not fitting actual needs of the title...
To not break old maps using them, the only way is to hide them in editor but still include them in the data of the titlepack.

So we tried to set internal to "true" of folder or file in ManiaPlanetTitle.xml but the maps using items didn't load cause the server can't find objects. (they are included in titlepack)

So we tried to include those items in /items folder in the server, now the map loads correctly but players can't join (missing blocs)

This is a very annoying things, that won't let us have a clean titlepack :(
I don't really know if it's a bug, a missing feature or something else, but please give us an official answer.
We already talked about this in another topic ( http://forum.maniaplanet.com/viewtopic. ... 21&t=27931 )
but still no changes... :(

Please help your community Nadeo, we are a small group of players making this game alive, and we deserve (i think) some answers ;)
Cheers, we still love you

Maybe an option in editor to load a map without items or a safe mode to open maps... it should allow you to remove theses items and to decrease the title size

There is a "hide in editor" flag for Blocks, Objects and Items (0x00000002).
You can test it by "hexediting" a current version 7 Item.gbx file.
Search for the first occurrence of the string "Items" at the beginning of the file.
Skip the "UNASSIGNED" value FFFFFFFF and change the next byte from 00 to 02:

You can check the changes with GbxDump. Please give feedback if it works.

be sure that I have read the post about making some items internals and that it's in the player wish priority for user made creations. I can't tell when we will be able to release something for it, but I agree for the positive aspect of it
