I log out on Sunday night (28sep14) when the Nadeo elite silver / gold server start go bad with ping, snaps, etc, as Cuts///, Echelon 9, with 90.2k LP in Elite.

Logged in again tonight and I am back as Echelon 8, with 87k LP.

Anyone can explain why I lose almost 4000 LP overnight?

No big problem, just don't see why rank system has, when LP can "vanish".

I thought maybe with server funny, that some match I play got lose in space...

Please note that only GOLD members lose LP.

You keep the same rank, it's just made to avoid inflation of number of points. And the number of people that lose points is based on the number of people you have in each Echelon. Before the summer, we went from 100 Echelon 9 to 50 Echelon 9 (above 90K) So, the loss of points is higher. If we would like to reduce the loss of points, we can increase the number of point loss per match. Would you loss no point each week, it would mean that if someone has 100K, that he will stay #1 forever.

Yes that's a bit sad. There are quite a lot of things in Maniaplanet, which are not explained properly or not explained at all.
At least there is a community to tell you

Also remember to not change nationality in-game. It'll cost you 10k LP.

Actually it's changing continent which costs LP

i lost something like 10 000 lp last week :/
